BENADRYL PLUS capsules offer fast and effective relief from the symptoms of hayfever and allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, itchy and runny nose, itchy eyes, plus the symptoms of congestion eg blocked sinuses and nasal congestion. Works in minutes, lasts 8 hours and should not cause drowsiness. Benadryl Plus capsules contain Acrivastine (an antihistamine), and Pseudoephedrine (a decongestant to help unblock a stuffy nose so that you can breathe more easily). In the majority of cases Benadryl Plus should not cause drowsiness so therefore not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, care should be taken when Benadryl Plus are used for the first time. You must see your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve.
Dosage
Adults and children over 12, take one capsule as needed up to three times a day. No more than three capsules should be taken in any 24 hours.
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Benadryl Plus can have side effects in some people. These are usually mild and rare. Restlessness or difficulty getting to sleep has been reported and rarely bad dreams or hallucinations. Occasionally skin rashes and drowsiness may be seen. Some men, particularly older men, may have trouble passing water. If you experience any other side effects not mentioned, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
